Hall of Fame: Kensil Garnett
INDUCTED February 22nd, 2025
Kensil has probably seen as many passes up and down the track as anyone, and yet has never made a pass on the famed eight mile. He first appeared at CCD back in the mid 90’s, a baby faced college kid who parked his truck in the grass at the top of the hill and walked over near the starting line where he would be parked all day. He'd watch pass after pass, making friends, and getting to know many of the people who frequented the track each week. He'd asked questions, hung out and really learned the sport. At times, racers who barely know him would ask him to go to other tracks, so they'd packed up and take him to places like the "Haute, and became a good friend. He was a wealth of knowledge and information, from all his time analyzing racers and their habit.
He’s been a race car transporter, mechanic, ticket fetcher and pit “whiz” for many of us over the years, and will drop what he’s doing to help anyone.
He is a tremendous source of race cars and driver tendencies and history of CCD. He’s mostly found these days at the finish line, top row of the big end bleacher, with his cooler and snacks in hand, by far the greatest and most loyal spectator to ever come across the bridge, and a true friend to all of us at CCD, your 2025 hall of fame inductee is Mr. Kensil Garnett
