Points Rules
Earning Points
Summit ET Racing
- 1 point for showing up each round and taking a light (green or red). Activating the tree, under its own power and forward motion once yellows are activated.
- 1 point for each round win.
- 1 point for each race category win.
Examples:
- Losing the first round (1 point), buying back and winning the second round (2 points), but losing the third round (1 point) would total 4 points.
- Winning the first round (2 points), winning the second round (2 points), but losing the third round (1 point) would total 5 points.
- Winning the first round (2 points) but breaking the water box in the second round (0 points) would total 2 points.
- Winning the first round (2 points), winning the second round (2 points), winning the third round (2 points), and winning the fourth round (2 points) for race category win (1 point) would total 9 points.
Special Events
These rules apply to the following races:
- King of the Track (KoT)
- Racer Appreciation Invitational Race
- Snearly Racing Transmission Giveaway
Points are only accumulated during Summit ET race days through September 15, 2024.
- 1 point for each paid entry (S/P, Pro & Sportsmen)
- 1 point for each round run
Examples:
- Entering Pro & SPT (2 points), losing the first round of both classes (2 points), then buying back and losing the second round of both classes (2 points) would total 6 points.
- Entering Pro & SPT (2 points), winning the first round in both classes (2 points), winning the second round in one class (2 points) and losing the third round in one class (1 point) would total 7 points.
- Entering Pro & SPT (2 points), winning the first round in one class (2 points), buying back one class and winning the second round in both classes (2 points), but losing the third round in both class (2 points) would total 8 points.
Anyone earning at least 40 points will be entered into a "Racer Appreciation" free race. (Anyone not earning sufficient can enter the race for $40.)
Any racer earning at least 55 points through September 15th, 2024, will be entered into a drawing for a Snearly Racing Transmission $350 gift certificate. The drawing for this gift certificate will be held at the Racer Appreciation banquet. Must be present to win.
Jr. Dragsters
- 4 points for passing technical inspection and showing up on race day
- 1 point for each round win
- 1 point for each race category win
- 3 points for buying points (not on-site and can purchased only twice)
Point Disputes
Disputes regarding points must be brought to the track officials' attention within 6 days of the race date. Otherwise, the points posted are considered final. For disputes, contact us.
Disputes regarding Jr. Dragster points may additionally be brought to the Jr. Dragster coordinators, Ron & Jodie Lee, [Please enable JavaScript.] / [Please enable JavaScript.]).
Special Circumstances
- An ET, Quick, or Index racer may buy a run card for a race(s) he/she can't make but must be done before the first round of next race and they will receive 1 point.
- ET and Quick racers holding gold cards may also do this, but it must be done in writing before the first time run of the next race.
- A Jr. Dragster racer may buy a run card for up to two races to include gold card holders he/she can't make, but this must be done before the first round of next race, and they will receive 4 points.
- Jr. Dragster racers holding a gold card may also do this, but it must be done before the first time run of the next race.
- No points will be issued for any race canceled before the gates are considered "opened".
