Class Rules
NOTICE
It is the responsibility of participants, not NHRA or any Coles County Dragway USA track representative to ensure that all safety equipment is approved and is correctly installed, worn, maintained and used.
NHRA Division 3 Summit ET Rules
Super Pro (S/P)
- See 2024 NHRA rules, section 4A page 2.
- See NHRA Division 3 Summit ET Rules above.
- Dial-In between 4.30 and 7.75.
- Bikes Allowed, but not eligible for Indy Div 3 Bracket Finals.
Pro (PRO)
- See 2024 NHRA rules, section 4A page 2.
- See NHRA Division 3 Summit ET Rules above.
- Dial-In between 5.40 and 8.99.
- Bikes Allowed, but not eligible for Indy Div 3 Bracket Finals.
Sportsman (SPT)
- See 2024 NHRA rules, section 4A page 2.
- See NHRA Division 3 Summit ET Rules, above.
- Dial-In between 7.40 and slower.
- No electronics of any kind allowed excluding Manufacture Installed Computers on factory vehicles. Use of delay box, trans-brake, RPM shift or Air shift is strictly prohibited.
- Bikes Allowed, but not eligible for Indy Div 3 Bracket Finals.
Box (Box)
- See 2024 NHRA rules, section 4A page 2 following Super Pro Rules.
- Delay box allowed.
- Dial-In between 4.20 and up.
- Bikes allowed.
No-Box Pro (NBP)
- See 2024 NHRA rules, section 4A page 2 following PRO Rules.
- No Delay box, but Trans-brake ok.
- Dial-In between 5.00 and up.
- Bikes allowed.
Footbrake (FB)
- See 2024 NHRA rules, section 4A page 2 following Sportsman Rules.
- Dial-In between 6.00 and up.
- No electronics of any kind allowed excluding Manufacture Installed Computers on factory vehicles. Use of delay box, trans-brake, RPM shift or Air shift is strictly prohibited.
- Bikes allowed.
Novice Street (N/S)
- Dial-In 7.50 and slower.
- One spectator (spotter) allowed in competition.
- Helmets are mandatory.
- Slicks not permitted.
- This is an entry level class. Anyone winning three races in Novice Street during the regular season, must move up to another class after their third win. Anyone having won a Race or Championship in any class isn’t allowed to compete in N/S.
Quick 8 (Q8)
- Fastest 8 paid entries.
- Two qualifying passes.
- 500 Full Tree.
- Pro Ladder based on qualifying.
- Dial-In must be faster than 6.99.
- Will be allowed to run in S/P or Pro if a run card is purchased prior to first round but will not be required to run in any rounds in S/P or Pro while still in Q8 competition.
- If a Q8 racer has previously purchased a S/P or Pro run card prior to first round and loses in Q8 they will fall into S/P or Pro as follows:
- Q8 1st round loser goes into 1st round of Super Pro or Pro
- Q8 2nd round loser goes into 2nd round of Super Pro or Pro
- Q8 Runner-Up goes into 3rd round of Super Pro or Pro
- Q8 Winner goes into 4th round of Super Pro or Pro
Street Fighter
- Factory door car or truck only (no aftermarket roadsters).
- Headlights and taillights must work.
- No aftermarket fiberglass or carbon fiber bodies allowed.
- Fiberglass body panels ok. (i.e.: hood, scoop, trunk, bumpers, doors)
- Mufflers required unless Turbo.
- Two front seats required.
- No Lexan allowed unless used for truck back window.
- Breakout is anything faster than 6.45.
- Anyone running faster than 6.45 will be dealt with in two phases:
- 1st offense = Warning (Can continue with Race Day)
- 2nd offense = Disqualification for the day (Lose Entry Fee)
- Anyone running faster than 6.40 during will be dealt with in two phases:
- 1st offense = Warning (Can continue with Race Day)
- 2nd offense = Disqualified for the day (lose entry fee)
- Exception: Any driver who has a NHRA Competition License and Car is NHRA Certified to go faster than 6.40 will not be held to the penalties above.
Jr. Dragster (Jr's)
- All NHRA Jr. rules apply and are the minimum for competition and safety standards. We will follow those rules and the following rules in an effort to provide a safe, fair and fun racing program.
